JESUS CHRIST , full of mercy and love , you have shown sympathy with poor men and You have fulfilled their request for a man who would lead them on the rough path to light and life.You know the hearts of men . Let me know whether You have chose me to such a high and sublime office . Enlighten my mind that I may appreciate the inestimable grace of vocation , fortify my will that I may pass victoriously through all the temptations of the world . Help me not to perish in paralysing pleasure and in the misty depths of passion . Let me not shrink from sacrifice but climb the bright heights of Your eternal Priesthood .
